Potty in the Toilet...

look at that belly... cute!
Strutting his CARS undies
We are potty training at our house. We've been trying for quite some time now and this week we are wearing BIG BOY UNDIES... I have a feeling that means more work for me. I have the rest of the week off, so I decided to get rid of the diapers during the day. So far he's doing really well. He'll stay dry for a good couple hours. Then today we are over at Mike's mom's doing laundry and washing the truck. He did well until just now. As I was signing onto here, I hear this little voice from down stairs "Mommy, mommy! I go and check and then he says "Poopies..." He had gone potty with no protection (besides clothing) for the first time. I hope the TOTALLY wet feeling helps him remember to use the toilet. I hope when Jamie and Jordan come (Mike's sister and brother in law) to visit, Cayden will be doing really well on the potty. Well, I guess that's enough potty talk to now. c:

Okay so about three days after I wrote this post, he quit again. I talked to a friend and she said that it's not bad that he has quit using the potty. That he'll do it WHEN he's ready... and he does. Sometimes he uses the toilet and sometimes he doesn't. I'm not worried. I know it will happen at the right time.

House Cleaning... Cayden... I need a raise!

Well, I'm supposed to be cleaning my house. But I really don't feel like it. I have so much laundry to do and we have to use a laundry mat. So it's not like I can just go and do a load. I have to have enough change for a washer(s) and dryer(s). Maybe I'll do it tomorrow when I get tips. I think when Mike and I get to Mexico, I'm gonna want to get a house cleaner. I would love to have one now!
My mother in law has taught Cayden how to clean. Which will be nice when he's older, but now he has a fascination with cleaning supplies. So, the other day he got into my spray stuff and sprayed the kitchen floor and fridge with it. I guess he thought it needed cleaning. Have no worries, I use the non-harmful kind of cleaning stuff. Oh and then I think the same day, Cayden took the tooth paste and started to eat it. Yuck! I heard this sucking sound behind the rocking chair. So I asked him what he was doing and he hid his hand. So, being the nosey mom that I am, I grabbed his hand and found the tooth paste container. Then today he took Mike's  deodorant and licked it. Why do two year olds grab and eat things they are not supposed to have. And how do they get them so quickly without you seeing them.
All in all, life is good. Cayden didn't get sick from either one and I'm sure he'll get into more stuff as time goes on.
Well, I need to get to that house cleanin' since I don't think it's going to do itself.
Later Dudes!

So You Think You Can Dance...

Today has been a good day.
I had a great time at work, I love working on bar (making the coffee). It's so much fun when I have a good second bar person. We kept making messes, which makes it even more fun. c:
Mike's old manager just lost a couple partners and wants me to come to her store. So I'm going to try to pick up a few hours a week there. Hopefully she needs an opener. I love my store and all my partners, but I also enjoy working at her store. The girls there always treat me like one of them. Yeah for Starbucks!!
Cayden has been in a dancing mood lately. He's learned how to jump and skip. So now he dances (jumping and skipping) all the time. We've watched "So You Think You Can Dance" a few times and he adds in his version of their dancing. He even makes his own beat. It's so cute! Some days he wants me to sing along, and then some days he doesn't. I guess it just depends on how the beat in his head sounds. It's fun watching him grow up.
Well, I guess that's it for now.

First Blog

Well, I've had this blog for awhile now, but never used it. So today is my first blog... yeah for putting your thoughts out onto the internet for people to see.
Yesterday we went with Mike's mom to Jetty Island here in Everett. We had a lot of fun. Cayden loved playing in the water and sand. He was covered head to toe with wet sand. FUN! He enjoyed smacking the puddles of water/sand and getting it everywhere.
I went out with him for awhile and played in the sand too. It was fun getting dirty and digging in the holes to find the oysters. The oysters were the size of my fingernail. When I would start to dig for them, they would go deeper and water would gush up. The water was warm and made the sand very wet. I built a mountain (that was about all you could make since the sand was so wet) with a moat around it and then another mountain. Then Cayden flattened the first mountain and flung sand all over me.
When it was time to leave he didn't throw too much of a fit. Which was really nice. We had to ride a boat to and from the Island. Cayden was being himself and flirting with the girls (in their 20's) and then he became very concerned with the boy next to him who had an owie.  The boys thought he was cute and funny, the boy could have cared less.
All in all we had a wonderful time!
